Series (A) includes a range of home designs which are suitable for land with only a gentle slope from left to right. The home designs within this category are ; Devonport MKI & Devonport MKII.

The Design - Series A

Home designs in this category are configured with a double garage and rumpus room positioned on the low side of the land on Slab on ground construction. Four (4) bedrooms/bath & Ensuite are then placed above, utilising standard two storey brick veneer construction. The main living areas which include entry portico and foyer are then positioned to the side of this two storey section.

The floor level to this living area is positioned mid way between the lower and upper floors of the two storey section. This area of the home consists of a single storey section, placed on elevated Bearer and Joist construction. This floor plan layout can also be known as a Tri-level home design. The attractions to this type of design are; The practical positioning of the main living area, positioned mid-way between each of the other two floor levels; elevated living in relation to the front and rear yard levels.

The isolated positioning of the rumpus room, downstairs behind the garage for entertaining or as a kids play area with direct access to the backyard. Various façade options can be adopted to this type of design and changes to the method of construction can be introduced to adapt this type of design for steeper home sites.
