The Design - (Series B)
Home design in this category are configured with the double garage and the rumpus room on the high side of the land with the four (4) bedrooms/bath and Ensuite positioned directly adjacent on the low side of the land. This entire area is placed on slab on ground (split slab) construction with an internal deepened concrete edge beam of 1.35m in height running front to back, down the centre of the house.
The main living area level is then placed above the lower bedroom level achieving double storey elevated living looking out over surrounding properties to capitalise on the attractive views that your house site has to offer. This floor plan layout can also be known as a Tri-level home design.
The attractions to this type of design are; the elevated living areas and the practical location of the rumpus room (which includes raked ceilings), the garage, powder room and laundry which are all positioned mid way between the lower and upper floor levels of the double storey section. Various façade options can be adopted to this type of design and changes to the method of construction can be introduced to adapt this type of design for steeper home sites.
